INTRODUCTORY DAYS

The primary purpose of Contemplative Outreach UK is to share the method of Centering Prayer and to offer practices that bring its fruits into daily life.
The Contemplative Outreach also teaches Lectio Divina (Sacred Reading), particularly its movement into contemplative prayer as facilitated by a regular practice of Centering Prayer.
While we encourage every practice leading to Christian Contemplation, our primary focus is to present the Method of Centering Prayer as taught by Fr. Thomas Keating and presented by Contemplative Outreach.
Contemplative Outreach UK offers workshops, retreats, a correspondence course and formation programs designed to present the richness of the Christian contemplative tradition in an updated and accessible format.
Contemplative Outreach UK also works with the Contemplative Outreach USA to develop resources and programs to further the spiritual growth of the members and the network.
We identify with the Christian Contemplative Heritage. While we are formed by our respective denominations, we are united in our common search for God and the
experience of the living Christ through Centering Prayer.
We affirm our solidarity with the contemplative dimension of other religions and sacred traditions, with the needs of the whole human family, and with creation.
